FG empowers 185 youths in Adamawa State
The Federal Government has empowered 185 youths in Adamawa State with automatic digital cameras to promote self-reliance and industry.
Speaking at the distribution of the cameras to beneficiaries, yesterday in Yola, the North-east Coordinator, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Alhaji Idris Bawa, said the programme tagged empowerment Initiative 2019, is part of the government’s efforts to tackle the unemployment.
The coordinator, who was represented by Alhaji Ibrahim Ghaji, said the cameras will enhance the living conditions of the youth and also provide job opportunities for others.
Former commissioner for information, Mr. Attah Mustapha, while warning the beneficiaries against selling the equipment, said over 10,000 youths benefited from similar gestures, but later abused the opportunity by selling the equipment to traders.
