Foundation opens grant applications for 10th Armed Forces Remembrance Day
The Charles Bebeye Ndiomu Foundation, in a move to ensure that the legacy of Nigeria’s fallen heroes lives on through the gift of education, has opened applications for the 10th edition of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Scholarship Award (AFRDSA) for 2025.
The Foundation, named in honour of Maj.-Gen. Charles Bebeye Ndiomu, was borne out of his unwavering dedication to education.
Also, the scholarship award, established in 2014, has since become a lifeline for children of the nation’s fallen armed forces personnel.
A statement by the organisers of the AFRDSA ceremony stated: “It is more than just financial aid; it’s a symbol of our nation’s gratitude, ensuring that the children of our heroes have the chance to thrive despite their hardships. We believe that by nurturing their potential, we are not only honouring their parents’ sacrifices but also investing in the future of Nigeria.
“The application process is completely free. We strongly urge all applicants and their families to be cautious and vigilant. Do not fall prey to fraudsters demanding any form of payment for the scholarship. The Charles Bebeye Ndiomu Foundation does not charge for applications, and all instructions regarding submission are available at www.charlesbebeyendiomufoundation.org/afrdsa and www.axiomlearn.com.
“To qualify for this award, applicants must be the children of deceased armed forces personnel, currently enrolled in JSS1 or JSS2 in a Nigerian secondary school, and must demonstrate academic excellence.”
