Legal experts have expressed concern over the lingering dispute between the Sunrise Power Transmission and Federal Government over $5.8b Mambilla hydroelectric plant project.

They advocated the need for the government to embrace dialogue as a better alternative to resolve the issue.

Specifically, they expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu being a visionary and master strategist has what it takes to resolve the Mambilla hydroelectric plant dispute.

They observed that going by documentary evidence and correspondence from the Federal Government to Sunrise all submitted to the International Criminal Court (ICC) tribunal, it is almost impossible for the Federal Government to win against Sunrise.

It is on this premise that some legal luminaries such as Chief AfeBabalola (SAN), Chief WoleOlanipekun (SAN) and Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) have advised the Federal Government through the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice to settle the dispute on Mambilla Hydropower project.
