Barely one week after a consecutive fire outbreak wreck havoc in Singa market in Kano, another incidence has reduced a small scale industrial complex to harches in the state.

Eyewitness said the inferno which broke out in the early Friday destroyed valuables worth millions of naira.
The Small-Scale Industrial Complex, popularly known as Fatima Crossion and Recycling attract business enterprises from and within Kano.
Confirming the development, spokesperson of Kano Fire Service Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi said the fire destroyed over 150 shops.
According to Abdullahi, the service received the report and immediately deployed fire men from the agency’s Headquarters, Dakata fire and Rijiyar Zaki fire Stations mobilized to put off the flame.
“Upon arrival, crews on duty discovered that the industrial complex of about 300 by 200 ft had been engulfed in flames.
“The site is divided into four sections: Plot A, Plot B, Plot C, and Plot D, containing a total of about 506 stalls. Out of these, approximately 100 stalls were completely destroyed by the fire”.
The estimated financial loss ranges between ₦700,000,000 and ₦800,000,000.
According to the complex secretary, the fire was allegedly caused by children who lit an open fire to warm themselves, the spokesperson said.
“Through prompt intervention and the dedicated efforts of fire men, the blaze was successfully brought under control using four fire engines, preventing further spread and damage.
“The Director of the Kano State Fire Service advises the general public to take necessary precautions to prevent fire outbreaks, especially avoiding open flames in public and industrial areas”. He said
