The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences (ICPC) has launched its action plan for 2024-2028, as well as its foremost digital podcast programme called “Ethicspod.”

The anti-corruption body stated that it aims to educate and engage young Nigerians on transparency and taking a stand against corruption.

According to the Commission, Ethicspod will be unveiled by the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), today.

Expected at the occasion are the Secretary to the Government of Nigeria, Senator George Akume, who will represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Anti-Corruption; the Chairman of the House Committee on Anti-Corruption, Hon. Kayode Moshood Akiotu; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusufu Tuggar.

ICPC’s five-year plan sets goals and priorities initiatives to achieve its objectives. This marks the new five-year action plan following the successful enactment of the 2019-2023 plan.

“This action plan focuses on confronting corruption through pioneering methods and action.

“This podcast is bi-weekly and will bring together beneficiaries, experts, and victims to share and discuss real-life stories to encourage listeners to report corruption.

“Its mission is to increase the reporting of corruption cases by the end of the five-year plan,” the Commission said in a statement signed by Acting Director of Public Enlightenment and Education, Demola Bakare.
