TARABA State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku, has admonished traditional rulers muddling into politics to, as a matter of urgency, desist and concentrate on the roles bestowed on them by the traditional institution or be compelled to face the wrath of the law.

The governor, who made this known while playing host to traditional rulers in the state in Jalingo, said he felt sad that rather than harnessing ways of ensuring adequate security and peaceful co-existence among the people of their domains, some traditional rulers are busy “muddling into politics.”

Wondering why “some of them” have continued to expand much energy in politics, he said he would henceforth bring to book any traditional ruler in whose domain witnesses any form of outbreak of law and order.

He said: “The responsibilities of traditional rulers are enormous as they are tasked to work tirelessly round the clock to ensure peace among the people in their domains.”
