Residents of the

border community, connecting Lagos and Ogun States, are growing increasingly frustrated with the deteriorating state of the Mopol Junction Road.

Despite the Lagos State government’s promises to re-award the road construction contract, no significant progress has been made.
The dilapidated road has become a major cause of concern for residents, leading to frequent accidents, vehicle damage, and economic hardship.
Residents like Moridiyah Ojugbele and Ajao Folorunsho are disappointed with the government’s inaction.
“This road has been neglected for years,” Ojugbele lamented. “We are tired of empty promises.” Folorunsho echoed these sentiments, saying, “The government only acts when the road is destroyed. They should have fixed it long ago, considering its importance.”
The community’s plea for urgent intervention appears to have been ignored, raising questions about the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and public safety.
Olushola Aare, a concerned resident, urged the government to take immediate action to prevent further accidents and economic losses.
