A man identified only as Ahmed has allegedly killed his grandfather and uncle in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The Guardian learnt that the incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday in Apete, Ido Local Council.

The victims reportedly lived at the same address as the suspect.

Police officers from Apete Divisional Police Headquarters were alerted shortly after the incident.

Confirming the incident in a statement yesterday, Adewale Osifeso, spokesperson for the Oyo State Police Command, said an investigation has been launched.

He stated: “The command has received a complaint about a male suspect who allegedly killed his grandfather and uncle. An investigation has commenced to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident. Updates will be provided in due course.”
