The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has called on Muslims to reflect on the life of Prophet Muhammad and adopt his virtues as they celebrate his birthday.
President of the group, Prince Mosediq Kazeem (SAN), in his Maulid Nabiyy message, urged Muslims to emulate the Prophet’s compassion, pursuit of justice, humility, and moral excellence, quoting his popular saying: “I have only been sent to perfect good character.”
Kazeem said Maulid should not be seen as just a historical remembrance but as a renewal of commitment to the teachings that guided humanity from ignorance to enlightenment.
“Allah affirms the Prophet’s mission as a universal mercy: ‘And We have not sent you, \[O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds’ (Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:107). The Prophet’s life is the perfect exemplar for all humanity,” he said.
He urged Muslims to use the occasion to strengthen Islamic brotherhood, promote unity, foster peace, and contribute to the development of their communities and Nigeria.
Kazeem prayed that Allah fill the hearts of Muslims with love for the Prophet, grant them the ability to follow his Sunnah faithfully, and allow the blessings of the occasion to bring peace, prosperity, and stronger faith to the Ummah.
He joined Muslims across Nigeria and the world in offering gratitude to Allah for His greatest blessing to humanity.
