Parties involved in the ongoing police investigation into a property case in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have disagreed over the police investigation on the matter.

The case is between a developer Miss Nike Latifah Usman and Rear Admiral William Kayoda (rtd).

Usman is claiming that she designed and built two houses for Kayoda at Plot No. 3813, Cadastral Zone 04, Asokoro District, FCT, Abuja which cost N1,200,000,000 and is yet to receive full payment.

While Usman through her legal representatives from Lawlead Consult is requesting for a case transfer over alleged bias in handling of the matter by the unit in charge, Kayoda said he is satisfied with the investigation and the matter is already in court.

Kayoda stated: “The case is already been investigated and in court.”

In a petition to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun, Usman demanded the re-assignment or transfer of over N1.2 billion property case to another unbiased unit of the Police, preferably the INTERPOL.

Usman expressed a lack of confidence in the investigation at the SIU and IRT and called for the re-assignment of the petition to another neutral unit of the Police and suggested INTERPOL, noting that some of the defendants are outside Nigeria.

The developer claimed that the team investigating the matter never invited key witnesses to the case such as the 2nd and 3rd defendant which would aid the justice and investigation of the case.
