Mrs. Patricia Chinyere Okereke (nee Onwubiko), the eldest sister of Emmanuel Nnadozie Onwubiko, the Founder of the prominent pro-democracy and civil rights advocacy group; Human Rights Writers Association Of Nigeria (HURIWA) will be buried on Friday, August 29 2025, in Ndiuche Ochie-uno in Arondizuogu, Ideato-North Local Council of Imo State.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), in a condolence letter presented to the family of Nnadozie Onwubiko, prayed for the peaceful repose of Mrs. Patricia Okereke, whom he called a phenomenal Christian mother and a model of Christian excellence.
A Christian wake holds on August 28 to be followed by interment on August 29, after a funeral service at the Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, Ndiuche Ochie-uno Arondizuogu. Other prominent Nigerians who have sent their condolences include the members of the Federal House of Representatives for Ideato North and Ideato South, Ikenga Ugochinyere, the immediate past governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, former Senator for Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia North Senatorial zone, amongst a litany of several other friends of the Onwubiko family.
