The Police in Delta State have vowed to fish out the hoodlums who attempted to kidnap Mrs Christy Uroye, wife to a State Legislator, Augustine Uroye, but reportedly killed two Police officers and her driver in an SUV car.

Mrs. Uroye was reportedly attacked on Monday evening when she was travelling in an SUV car around Jakpa Road, Uwvie Local Government Area of Delta State

A spokesperson for the Command, Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident, said the Police had a serious gun battle with hoodlums who later caved in and escaped with gunshot injuries.

Edafe told The Guardian that the hoodlums escaped into the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) area, which is a busy place; hence, the Police were not able to fire at them.

He said no arrest had been made but the vehicle was recovered while the victim, Mrs Christy Uroye, was able to escape.

The Guardian gathered that the woman is now receiving treatment in a hospital within the council.
