IT was a triple celebration for Dr. Favour Okafor, president of Rock Foundation for Widows, Orphans and Less-privileged (ROFWOL) and wife of Chicason Group of Companies chairman, Chief Alex Chika Okafor, who recently rolled out the drums for the dedication of   ROFWOL office, 25 years remembrance of her mother, late Madam Esther Nwakego Herbert, and celebration of her outstanding awards and honours bestowed on her.

Family members, friends and well wishers joined the notable philanthropist and author in opening of the Rock Foundation building at Maanah Plaza, 19 Araromi Street, Obalende in Lagos State.

Earlier, there was a thanksgiving service for the event at the Our Saviour Church, Tafawa Balewa Square, led by the Vicar and Archdeacon of the church, Ven. Igein Isemede. He also led other ministers of God to the facility ground for the building dedication.

Isemede prayed for  long life the celebrant and for the foundation to produce future leaders and responsible people in society, who would develop Nigeria beyond its present state. He enjoined the guests to support the dream and vision of the foundation as their contribution to nation building.

ROFWOL Executive Director,    Mr. Jesse Chukwu, urged wealthy individuals and other NGOS to emulate the laudable gesture of Okafor by extending a hand of fellowship to the less privileged and adding value to the lives of people around them. “I am elated about today’s event because it is a dream come true for the founder and members of staff,” he said.
