Top Comedian and Global Diplomat for Peace Advocate, Francis Agoda famously known as I Go Dye has sent a congratulatory message to Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his declaration as the sole governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Delta State by the Supreme Court.

Oborevwori defeated Olorogun David Edevbie after a long, drawn-out struggle in which several long-cherished relationships were strained.

And I Go Dye in a statement made available to our reporters seeks to make amends and urges the winner to embrace all and extend a hand of friendship to all that fought him in his bid to clinch the ticket.

I Go Dye writes “ The wind of progress and success often comes with challenges and obstacles such as the hurdles you faced till the victory at the Supreme Court. Beyond this testimony of your life today, your life is a story of hope to many people who might be left caught in the web of difficulties with no relief in sight, to understand that there will always come a time of victory. you represent one of the very few personalities from Delta State who gives credence to little things without expecting anything in return.

“I pray that God shall help you to protect this humble disposition which has earned you a place of honour in my heart, which is only bestowed on noble men whose life’s deeds are directed towards service to humanity. As you journey along the path of leadership, extend a hand of friendship to all who fought you, because our beloved State is one and Delta State shall continue to progress in peace, love and unity to the glory of God. Congratulations sir.”

Olorogun David Edevbie who lost his bid to become the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship standard-bearer, has also congratulated Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the Supreme Court.

In a statement released by his Director of Strategic Communications, Fred Edoreh, the protagonist of the Modernisation Agenda said the judgement of the Supreme Court puts a full and final closure to the dispute and urged Deltans to regard the interest of the state over any above any individual interest.

While thanking his supporters for the massive commitment to his mandate, he wished Oborevwori success in the 2023 Governorship election.

The Supreme Court’s verdict today brings closure to the process of determining the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 Delta State Governorship election.
