Unilorin expels student for collecting ransom on missing colleague
The management of the University of Ilorin has expelled a 100-level student for allegedly demanding money from the parents of his missing colleague as ransom.
The university, in its weekly bulletin, signed by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, said the student was identified as Olanrewaju Abdulkabir Abdulkadri.
The expelled student, with matriculation number 22/52HL004, was in the Department of Information Technology and Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences.
Additionally, the university rusticated a 400-level student, Segun Micheal Oyewole, for beating and manhandling a female student.
Oyewole, who was rusticated for one academic session, was from the Department of Counsellor Education, Faculty of Education of the university.
