THE Adamawa State House of Assembly has uncovered 27 years massive fraud that involved several billions of naira at the Adamawa Investment and Property Development Limited owned by the state government.

Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Finance and Budget, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Isa Abubakar, who disclosed this yesterday in Yola when he visited the company with members of the committee as part of their oversight function as provided by the law, said that in the past 27 years, the agency, which its constitutional responsibility is to generate revenue for the state, has not remitted one kobo into the coffers of the state government.

Abubakar, who was visibly angry over the massive fraud in the company, said the lawmakers would investigate and unmask those that are involved in defrauding the state of such huge revenue money meant for the development of the state.

He pointed out that the present administration has zero tolerance for corruption, noting that one of the major agenda of the new government is to return the country to its past glory.
