THE General Overseer, Redeem Christian Church of God (CRCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, yesterday in Awka, Anambra State prayed to God to ensure smooth conduct of credible election and a peaceful atmosphere in Nigeria this year.

Pastor Adeboye, who came to inaugurate Anambra State branch of Christ the Redeemer’s Friends International (CRFI) Eminent personalities, explained that the project was a revelation from God few years ago to bring people of like Christian minds together, adding that it was equally to make the light shine in Anambra State, just as he prayed God to use the gathering to transform people.

Speaking of the 2015 election, the GOS regretted that many people are apprehensive of the outcome, wondering whether or not there would be chaos in the country.

He said, “A lot of Nigerians are beginning to develop high blood pressure over the election. The Nigerian situation has always been like there will be no Nigeria tomorrow, that there could be trouble: but the tension usually calms down and life goes on. With God nothing shall be impossible.

“God has already decided what will happen and He knows who will be the next president of Nigeria,” Pastor Adeboye said.

The cleric reminded that all power comes from God. Quoting various verses from the bible, the CRFI life patron restated that the ‘Most High’ rules the affairs of men, regretting that many Nigerians do not want to, or are ashamed to serve God whole heartedly,

He cautioned human beings who boast and see themselves, as strong and great factor in life, warning that there is always a limitation to one’s life. He noted, “Once there is a storm in ones’ life, people seek for relief, but quickly added that there is the Prince of Peace who comes to our aid whenever there is danger”.

He warned all the faithful of the impending doom and urged people to give up their life to God. “Do not delay your salvation, accept God now, today may be your last sermon and tomorrow may be too late”, Pastor Adeboye added.

Part of the event was the inauguration of seven CRFI executive members for Anambra State chapter, including the chairman, Dr. Ada Omurah the chairman, Vice chairman, Mr. Ndubuisi Agoh, Secretary, Mrs. Ladi Mandra, PRO Mr. Samuel Anidike, Treasurer, Mrs. Mary Esealuka, Legal Adviser, Mr. Emmanuel Igowe and Prayer secretary, Prof. Emeka Oguebu.
