He Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has promised that justice would prevail in the case of three staff of a hotel in Delta State owned by a former minister of State for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, who were stripped naked and filmed on the suspicion of stealing.

Adamu stated this in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), yesterday.

Gbagi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and governorship aspirant in the state, has since denied any wrongdoing or personal link with the incident.

Mba, in the statement, said the state Police Command has since commenced investigation into the issue, with Adamu vowing that justice must prevail, no matter who is involved.

The IGP, he stated, urged the public, particularly the alleged victims and all interest groups in the ongoing Police investigations to remain calm, as the Police intensify efforts towards unraveling the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“The IGP, while noting that the Delta State Police Command has since commenced discrete investigations into the matter, with appreciable progress made, assures that justice will prevail, no matter whose ox is gored,” the statement added.
