APC Chairmen Forum elects Ajomale as pioneer chairman

THE All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairmen’s Forum has elected executive committee to pilot its affairs in the next four years.

Lagos State Chairman of the party, Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale, was unanimously elected Pioneer chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa of Kano, clinched the post of Deputy chairman, while Comrade Abba Yaro of Benue state emerged secretary.

 A statement issued Sunday by the Enugu State Chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye, who is also the Publicity Secretary of the body, indicated that the election took place in Abuja, adding that the forum is made up of the 36 state chairmen of the party, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The statement said: “The election of Ajomale is in furtherance of the commitment of the 37 progressive chairmen, to entrench a true democratic government headed by individuals with progressive ideology throughout the federation.

 “In so doing, the progressive chairmen, pledge their continue and unalloyed support for the APC National chairman, John Odigie Oyegun.”

  Nwoye, added that “Ajomale, will provide the leadership necessary to effectively mobilize and galvanize members, supporters, and sympathizers of APC to ensure victory for the party at all levels in the upcoming elections.”

“The progressive chairmen Forum under the leadership of Ajomale is ready to ensure that the general elections are held as scheduled.”

It assured that the progressive chairmen would no longer fold their hands and watch any more extension of time for the general polls.

“We urged Nigerians and lovers of democracy all over the world to support the efforts of our progressive chairmen under the leadership of Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale.”

 Others elected during the Forum’s election were, Dr. Davis Ibiamu Ikanya of Rivers state, (Treasurer), Alhaji Uba Ahmed Nana Bauchi, (Welfare secretary) and prophet Jones Ode Erue of Delta State, ex- officio.
