NDIGBO Cultural Society of Nigeria (NCSN) has said that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forth coming general elections, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is inexperienced about governance in a democratic dispensation and does not deserve the support of those who have the interest of Nigeria at heart.

In a statement yesterday by its president, Udo Udeogaranya, the group urged those considering the option of voting for Buhari in the presidential election to look before they leap, adding that “the government of the people, by the people and for the people is not for the inexperienced and semi-illiterate.”

He said: “Buhari is totally inexperienced about governance in a democratic dispensation. Buhari never had an hour experience on democratic governance when compared with President Goodluck Jonathan that has an awesome experience of governance in democracy from being Deputy Governor, Governor, Vice President, Acting President and President for about 16 years, making him the most experienced democrat of all times in the history of Nigeria.

“Those who think that governance in democracy is the same thing as military dictatorship should consult with the members of the House of Assembly, where a sound policy can be delayed for years due to details of implementation, where as such policy, under military dictatorship , decrees will be rolled out within minutes.

This is the sole reason Buhari has remained dumb to the details of his programmes and policies. We urge all who have the interest of Nigeria at heart to desert Buhari’s candidature urgently as many leaders from his party had since left him on his boat to nowhere.”
