Buhari In Ondo, Warns Against Voting For PDP

PRESIDENTIAL candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) Saturday took his campaign of change to Ondo State where he addressed a mammoth crowd warning Nigerians against allowing the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to continue in office.

   Buhari, who arrived at the Democracy Park in Akure, the state capital around 5 pm from Ado-Ekiti, where he had earlier addressed the people of Ekiti State, was accompanied by national leaders of the party particularly those from the South-West geo-political zone.

    The former Head of State charged the people to vote the APC to enjoy a new lease of life in a Nigeria where corruption, official ineptitude, insecurity, high unemployment and prostrate economy would be a thing of the past. He warned against voting for the PDP, saying, “a vote for the PDP would mean a vote for continuity of the present problems bedeviling our dear country. If you allow the PDP again, that means that Nigeria will not change.”

    Other speakers, including former Lagos governor and leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Chairman, John Odigie Oyegun, Buhari’s running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola, urged the people to exercise their franchise in voting for a change in the country.

    They, therefore, appealed to the people to go and get their Permanent Voter Card (PVC), vote for the APC on February 14 and stand to protect their choice from being truncated by “anti-progressive forces” in the country.
