THE Ogun State governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka has said the February 28, 2015 election will determine the future of the state and urged the electorates to vote for the best candidate.

He also disclosed that unless the administration of Senator Ibikunle Amosun is voted out of office, the state will soon face serious economic challenges because of the “reckless manner” it has managed the state’s resources especially the white elephant projects embarked upon

Speaking with the members of Christians Association of Nigeria, Yewa/Awori zone in Ilaro, Ogun State, Isiaka, who disclosed that contrary to the lies being peddled by the government that none of the roads expanded costs more than N400m per kilometer, he said available records showed that Amosun has been paying nothing less than N1.4b per Kilometre on all the expansions.

He said, “We were at the debate on Sunday in Abeokuta where we confronted him with the facts of how bogus the costs of his contracts have been. He said he has been constructing each Kilometre at N400m but none costs less than N1.4b, he asked us to name one of such projects but we presented him with five. So it is now clear to all where he is building bridges even where it is not necessary.

Isiaka, who was accompanied to Ilaro by his running mate Mr Tunde Makanjuola, former Deputy Governor of the State Alhaja Salmot Badru,  Hon Abiodun Akinlade, Ogun West Senatorial Candidate Hon. Waliu Taiwo and Chief (Mrs) Iyabo Apampa,  promised to organise an education summit within one hundred days of his administration, if elected into office, to address multi various problems facing education sector in the State.

He said he was particularly pained that secondary schools could not sit for the first term exam because government has not accorded the deserved attention to that sector such that government could not pay the N180million it owed printers of examination paper. He also assured Teachers and civil servants of ending their untold hardship in the hand of the current administration.

Fielding questions from CAN executives led by Apostle John Ola Dada that if he will return missionary schools to the owners if elected, Isiaka said, “I am aware that CAN has taken Amosun government to court on the matter and it will be subjudice to comment on that. But the education summit we want to organise will take care of it. Besides, I am also an apostle of Public Private Partnership (PPP) and I will certainly encourage private sector to actively participate in expanding the economy of the state”.

Isiaka also promised to re-introduce government sponsorship of Christian for pilgrimage in Jerusalem and promised that CAN at every local government will have slots and participate effectively well in the running of the government.

He also promised students of reduction of school fees and prompt payment of their bursary just as he promised a social security scheme for the unemployed graduates.
