THE National leadership of Equity and Justice Political Group has directed its members to embark on door-to-door aggressive campaign for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Presidential candidate and Delta State Governorship flag bearer, to secure their victory at the forth coming general elections.

The National Leader of the group, Barr. Amechi Okobah gave the directive at Oghara, Delta State, while fielding questions from newsmen at the flag off of the state’s PDP campaign ahead of the polls.

Okobah who led members of the group to the campaign rally said the directive was informed by the need to ensure overwhelming victory for President Goodluck Jonathan and the Delta State PDP governorship flag bearer Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa at the polls.

He explained that the PDP administration both at the state and Federal levels had performed excellently in improving the overall well being of Nigerians, adding that the victory of the party at all levels during the election would guarantee the consolidation of the gains so far recorded.

Okobah described Okowa as a detribalised Deltan who is well equipped with in-depth knowledge of the state and its people and as such would provide solutions aimed at addressing the multi-dimensional challenges confronting the state.

He therefore asked eligible voters to vote massively for the gubernatorial candidate for the actualisation of the vision of the founding fathers of the state, which is anchored on accelerated development, economic prosperity, social justice, peace, security and the growth.

In furtherance of the campaign strategy of the group geared towards securing total victory for Okowa, Okobah explained that vote canvassers have been mobilised to visit designated strategic points within the state including motor parks, restaurants, markets and other public places to market the candidature of Okowa with a view to boosting his electoral fortunes at the polls.
