Mrs Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo, the wife of late politician and one of the founding fathers of Nigeria, Obafemi Awolowo, is dead.

Famously referred to as a “jewel of inestimable value” by herlate husband, Mrs Awolowo passed away in her sleep today, aged 99.
