• Sensitise electorate on need to vote for APC

Hundreds of Lawyers in the Southwest of the Country under the aegis of “Lawyers For Change” have embarked on a peaceful solidarity rally in Abeokuta in support of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo Presidential ticket.

The lawyers, led by Barrister Adesina Ogunlana matched through major streets in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital to sensitize voters and residents on need to support Buhari and Osinbajo in the forthcoming presidential election.

The legal practitioners who called themselves “Progressives Lawyers” carried various pro Buhari/Osinbajo placards with inscriptions such as “Change is here, be part of it”, “Vote Buhari/Osinbajo for a better Nigeria”, “We have had enough of bad governance”, “Vote for the future of your children”, “Vote for good governance not Goodluck”,’’Change is what we need”, among others.

The rally, which kicked off from the courts premises in Isabo area of the town, saw the lawyers distributing leaflets in support of Buhari/Osinbajo to motorists, passerby and residents of the town. They also stormed some markets, including the popular Kuto, Omida and June 12 markets to distribute leaflets and sensitize the traders.

Addressing the traders and others, the lawyers’ spokesman, Adesina

Ogunlana noted that in a few weeks time, Nigeria would go to the polls, to choose those who will rule the nation and manage national affairs for the next four years, and asked “the big question is do we continue with the present leaders of our country or do we need change”

“Our answer is change. We have to change our rulers. Aso Rock must have new tenants,if we want our dear country to survive and make meaningful progress.
