Kolawole, according to a statement signed by the Media Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Tope Abiola, gave the advice during his maiden official visit to the school.
While commending the management and council of the institution for their efforts at uplifting the standard of the institution, Kolawole, who was accompanied by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Linda Bibilari, also assured them of his support to take the institution to greater heights.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Acting Rector of the institution, Dr. Olusola Agboola, called on the state government to assist the school to increase its grant in order to meet up with its many challenges.
While speaking on his achievements since his assumption of office, Agboola said his administration has been able to maintain constant school calendar as approved by the Board of Studies of the institution.
He added that his administration has constructed modern auditorium, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre, Extension of health centre block and maintains good relationship between members of staff and students.
Agboola explained further that the institution has been able to curtail cultism through the co-operation of appropriate agencies.
He, however, reiterated his administration’s commitment to support the Osun State government in providing qualitative education to the citizenry.
Highlights of the visitation include tour to the institution’s Microfinance Bank and Library.
On the entourage of the Acting Rector to receive the commissioner were the institution’s Registrar, Alhaji Jimoh Akande, the Head of Bursary, Mr. Femi Okediya and other members of the school’s management.
