Tinubu to observe Sallah in Lagos
President Bola Tinubu will observe the Muslim celebration, Eid-el-Kabir, in Lagos State.
Tinubu’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
“President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja, the nation’s capital, for Lagos State on Friday ahead of Eid-el-Kabir,” Ngelale said.
“The President will observe Eid-el-Kabir in Lagos, where he will also spend the Sallah holidays.”
Ngelale added that the President will mark the occasion in prayers and reflection on advancing the transformation of Nigeria in line with his Renewed Hope Agenda.
Meanwhile, Tinubu has said that the Federal Government will send a new minimum wage bill to the National Assembly “soon.”
“We shall soon send an executive bill to the National Assembly to enshrine what has been agreed upon as part of our law for the next five years or less,” Tinubu said in his Democracy Day Speech on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
The President also said that his administration negotiated with Labour in good faith concerning the new minimum wage.
