THE Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) has stated that President Goodluck Jonathan would win the presidential election.

TAN, which noted that statics and the record of achievements of the president in his first term are enough to give him a comfortable edge over the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Maj. Gen, Muhammadu Buhari, insisted that the crowd which follows Buhari to campaign grounds cannot determine the result of the election.

TAN Director of Operations, Ben Chuks Nwosu, who gave the assurance yesterday in Abuja noted that through the zonal rallies which they organised before the campaigns, the ground is set for a smooth sail by President Jonathan, adding that with the numerous transformation and landmark achievements of the administration, it would be difficult for the APC to win the election in February.

The former speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly argued that the crowd at campaign ground would not guarantee any candidate victory at polls, stressing that President Jonathan will get many votes from the sectors where he has performed excellently to win the election.

He noted that President Jonathan has always insisted on campaigning with a manageable crowd even from the members of his party, which were limited to what the security can control as against the large crowd that follows the APC candidate without control.

Nwosu, who noted that bulk votes from the business class, aviation sector, transport, agriculture, women and the youths where he argued the president has scored high could be used to decide the election, added that TAN has done a lot to publicize the achievements of the President in these sectors to Nigerians, while assuring that the campaign organisation of the president has been on ground to monitor the progress of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Hajia Aisha, wife of the APC presidential candidate yesterday met with traditional rulers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as part of on-going effort to ensure victory for her husband.

Mrs. Buhari, who was represented by the former Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Ajo Sani, assured women of improved welfare under a Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

Expressing confidence that the APC would triumph in the presidential poll, she remarked that the reports the party was getting from the area councils in Abuja was heartwarming.

According to her, “We are here to meet with our women in Garki and to also extend our goodwill, with the type of messages we are getting from this area. We came to educate and remind the women that this is where we belong, on the importance of election and the need for them to actually participate fully.”

Mrs. Buhari urged the women to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) and taught them how to recognise the party logo on election day.
