Nnamdi Kanu’s counsel accuses FG of ‘selective injustice’ against Igbo
The lead counsel to the incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Aloy Ejimakor, Nnamdi Kanu, has accused the federal government of perpetuating what he calls “selective injustice” against the Igbo.
Ejimakor made these allegations in a post on his official X handle, stating that the Igbos experienced less selective injustice under the past administrations of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.
However, he claims that this situation worsened during the administration of Muhammadu Buhari and is deteriorating further under President Bola Tinubu.
“What is now emerging in the open (thanks to social media) as institutionalised ‘selective injustice’ against #Ndigbo has always been there,” Ejimakor wrote.
He added that people of the Southeast have repeatedly alleged marginalisation, which has fueled the agitation for Biafra.
Ejimakor added, “It reduced slightly under OBJ & GEJ, peaked to a new high under PMB & has attained genocidal proportions. Shocking that TINUBU tolerates it.”
The accusations come amid growing concerns and calls for the release of Kanu, with various groups and political figures continuing to demand justice for the detained IPOB leader.
