President Bola Tinubu has approved free nationwide train rides from December 20, 2024, to January 5, 2025.

The initiative aims to alleviate transportation costs during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, according to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.

Idris said, “As we did last year, there will be free train services for all Nigerians during this period. This aligns with the President’s commitment to reducing transportation burdens, particularly for vulnerable citizens.”

He noted that similar measures were implemented during last year’s Christmas and Sallah festivities, showcasing the Tinubu administration’s dedication to easing the cost of travel for Nigerians.
