Nigerian military school’s old boys recommit to nation-building

The ’74-79 set of the Nigerian Military School (NMS), Zaria has reassured their continued support to nation-building via sustainable solutions to the country’s numerous challenges.

Chairman of the set, Colonel Alphonsus Ayim (rtd), pledged that as beneficiaries of one of the finest military institutions in the country, the body would always return to appreciate its alma mater and continue to offer services towards building the nation, ensuring the NMS continues to remain true to its original intent and support the school.

He stated this at the golden anniversary and reunion of the set at the weekend in Abuja. Ayim noted: “For the past 50 years, all of us, at different levels, have contributed immensely to nation-building and among us, we have very senior retired officers, Major Generals, Rear Admirals, medical doctors and professors that have worked in various capacities building this nation.”

“We have been supporting our alma mater, the NMS as a way of giving back and even in this golden anniversary celebration, we have reserved some funds, we have set aside N2 million for a library project for the school.”
