Nigerians urged to sustain family values

Nigerians have been advised to sustain family values by inculcating right values in their children and wards in order to overcome the challenges of the changing world.

The Chairman, Literary Committee of Uzaokoli Methodist College Old Boys’ Association (UMCOBA), Sir Udeagha John Egbe, said this while delivering his speech at the yearly thanksgiving and dedication service of the old boys’ association in Lagos.

The presiding minister, Very Revd. Sunday Onadipe, also charged the alumni to always remain thankful to God, who has kept them alive to witness another year in good health and peace of mind.

He commended the planning committee members for their consistency in putting up a successful outing year -in year-out.

A book entitled: A Family of Five, authored by Miss Rebecca Nneoma Egbe, was presented at the event. The book highlighted the indestructibility of a family and its importance on the individual and the society at large.

The Chairman of the event, Chief Anamelechi Eteogu, thanked the organisers and the sponsors and said he looked forward to seeing all in attendance next year.

Distinguished alumni at the event included Sir Eloagu Ukeje, Chief Billy Okoye and others.
