Key figures from government, industry, and development sectors are expected to gather in Abuja on Thursday, July 17, for a closed-door executive consultation aimed at advancing Nigeria’s future workforce strategy under the NigeriaWorks 2030 Initiative.
The meeting, organised by Vivacity Development in collaboration with the SAM Empowerment Foundation, will serve as a strategic session to address the country’s preparedness for global labour shifts, focusing on inclusive innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable job creation.
According to Vivacity Development’s CEO, Engr. Oluwakemi Ann-Melody Areola, the session will go beyond dialogue to outline practical steps for repositioning Nigeria’s workforce for emerging economic realities.
“This is more than a conversation—it’s a strategic turning point,” Areola said. “We are mobilising Nigeria’s top minds and change agents to rethink how we train, employ, and empower our people for the future economy.”
The consultation will include keynote addresses, panel discussions, and innovation labs centred on employment access, youth-driven innovation, digital skills development, and green economic transitions. Organisers say the outcome will inform upcoming policy revisions and long-term human capital investments.
Attendance is restricted to invited participants, who will receive event details upon confirmation. The session will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The NigeriaWorks 2030 Initiative is a multi-stakeholder programme led by Vivacity Development, focused on shaping a modern labour force aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
