The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has commended Julius Berger Nigeria Plc for consistently delivering quality infrastructure projects nationwide.

The institute also praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State for his commitment to executing legacy projects. NIPR Vice President Prof Emmanuel Dandaura made these commendations during a tour of ongoing projects in Delta State.

The tour was part of activities marking the conclusion of the NIPR’s 2024 Directors Conference and Retreat, which was held in Asaba. Projects inspected included the Okpanam-Ibusa bypass, the dualisation of the Ughelli-Asaba road, and the construction of flyovers at Enerhen Junction, PTI Junction, and DSC Roundabout in Warri and Effurun, all undertaken by Julius Berger, as well as the Emevor-Orogun road project.

Expressing satisfaction with the quality of work, Dandaura remarked, “I am particularly impressed with the durability and quality of the projects. Julius Berger is known for delivering long-lasting infrastructure, and I encourage the company to sustain its corporate social responsibility efforts to foster positive community relations.”

The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza, led the tour alongside other top government officials. Dandaura urged the Federal and state governments to continue collaborating on federal road projects to facilitate smoother transportation across the country.

He added: “The existing framework between the Federal Government and the states, where states handle specific projects and receive compensation, should be maintained.

“Delta State, under Governor Oborevwori, is effectively stepping in to support the Federal Government’s infrastructure responsibilities. This is a commendable patriotic gesture, and I encourage the Federal Government to uphold this synergy.”
