PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr DanAzumi Mohammed Ibrahim as Director General of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP).

The appointment was contained in an official correspondence from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal to NOTAP.

NOTAP is a government’s parastatal, whose activities include evaluation/registration of technology transfer agreements, promotion of intellectual property, technology advisory and support services.

Other functions of the agency include commercialisation of research and development, research industry linkage, production of compendium management information system, publication of project profiles on research and development results.
