
A statement made available to The Guardian yesterday and signed by the state commandant, Mr. Fasiu Adeyinka, said the suspects, with the five trucks containing 153, 000 litres of PMS, were arrested at various locations in the state between June 22 and July 14, this year.
The NSCDC boss stated that some of those arrested have already been charged to court, while others are still under investigation and would be charged to court immediately investigations are concluded.
He charged dealers to always hold the original copy of their waybill while transporting petroleum products, warning that the corps would impound any truck conveying products without the original waybill.
