For the first time since it was instituted in 2006, the 2015 edition of ZAFAA African Film Festival and Academy Awards, which honours African and Africa oriented filmmakers across the world would be held in Nigeria, with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) as host.

The event, which is a three-day event, would culminate with the awards ceremony at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, October 31.

Speaking at a media parley ahead of the ceremony, The Zonal Director, Lagos Network Centre, NTA, Mr. Wole Coker said the station went into a strategic partnership with ZAFAA to bring the awards to Nigeria because it identifies with Nollywood and wants to be part of further development of talents for the industry.
