
The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has pledged to support oil workers’ welfare, stressing that a unified, motivated, and productive workforce is critical to the realisation of the country’s economic goals.
The Commission Chief Executive of NUPRC, Gbenga Komolafe spoke at the commissioning of the Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) iconic secretariat in Lagos.
Komolafe, represented by the Director, Lagos Regional Office, Paul Osu noted that the Commission’s management remains steadfast in its commitment to the welfare and professional development of its unionised workforce.
He described the iconic “NUPENG Tower,” as a symbol of its commitment to the welfare of its members and the advancement of Nigerian workers, adding that the dedication is evident in the exceptional service delivery demonstrated by workers.
Komolafe emphasised the pivotal role of trade unions in representing the economic power of workers and serving as a form of social insurance.
NUPENG Tower, now a landmark in the union’s history, is expected to enhance operational efficiency and inspire further collaboration among union members.
