The Nigeria Civil Society Groups for Peace, Unity and Development yesterday asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to enforce a Federal High Court, Abuja recent order on forfeiture of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi’s property.

Speaking on behalf of the coalition of over 377 Non-Governmental Organisations in all 36 states of Nigeria and Abuja, Dauda Balale Sokoto, also charged the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to heed the court order.

Sokoto hinged the coalition’s position on the premise that the court had approved the forfeiture of Nwaoboshi’s property to the Federal Government.Specifically, the court had ordered the confiscation of 14 property and 22 bank accounts allegedly linked to Nwaoboshi, who represents Delta North Senatorial District.
