Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, has commended renowned entrepreneur Obinna Tochukwu Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, for driving investments aimed at strengthening the state’s position as a major urban hub in the South-South and South-East regions.

The governor gave the commendation on Sunday evening in Asaba during the 51st birthday celebration of the Cubana Group chairman, which attracted dignitaries, captains of industry, and well-wishers.
Oborevwori described the Cubana Millennium City project as a transformative development that signals a new phase of urban expansion for the Delta State capital.

According to him, such large-scale investments are poised to redefine the economic and urban outlook of Asaba, positioning the state as a fast-growing destination for both local and international investors.
He noted that Obi Cubana’s vision and sustained investment in the state represent a landmark initiative capable of reshaping Asaba’s physical and economic landscape, while also extending development to surrounding communities.

The governor further explained that the project reflects a modern approach to city development, integrating contemporary architecture, smart infrastructure, and diverse investment opportunities.
“This development is not just about housing; it also marks a major milestone with the unveiling of the Signature Home within the Cubana Millennium City project,” Oborevwori said.

In his remarks, Obi Cubana said the project is driven by a long-term vision to establish a world-class residential and commercial hub that can compete globally.
“We are building more than houses—we are creating a city that will stand the test of time and rival any in Africa. A place where people can live, work, invest, and thrive in an environment that meets global standards,” he said.

He added that the project’s strategic location—near the Asaba International Airport and along key transport corridors—positions it as a prime investment destination with strong potential for value appreciation.
The Cubana Millennium City is designed as a fully integrated urban development, featuring residential units, commercial spaces, and lifestyle amenities.
