Ogun Charges Manufacturers To Key Into Government Programmes

Ogun State governor, Ibikunle Amosun

OGUN State government yesterday advised manufacturers in the state to key into the various policies and programmes initiated by government to make their operations stress free.

The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru gave the advice in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital at the 5th Edition of the quarterly meeting of the State Government and Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Ogun State branch.

Ashiru disclosed that the haulage sticker introduced recently was meant to reduce cost as well as make it easier for them to ply the state roads without harassment.

He urged stakeholders in the sector not to leave everything in the hands of government, adding that they should endeavour to contribute their quota to the development of the State.

“You need to partner with government in resolving the various challenges confronting you, adopt peaceful approach and avoid confrontation,” Ashiru stated.

The Commissioner appealed to the manufacturers to promptly pay their levies and taxes to enable government carry out its various developmental programmes.
