Ogun opens digital channels for public budget engagement

Ogun State Ministry of Budget and Planning, on Wednesday, created a link through which relevant stakeholders can make contributions to the 2026 budget-making process.

The release, signed by the Commissioner in the Ministry, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, said the Dapo Abiodun-led administration was desirous of having as many inputs as possible from interested stakeholders and the general public.
It said that the inputs would allow the budget to contain enough provisions to cater to all categories of residents in the state.

It added that the link would make it possible for stakeholders to reach the Ministry, irrespective of their locations, whether within Ogun State, any part of Nigeria, or in the diaspora, urging interested members of the public to make haste and use the links: https://bit.ly/OGSG2026Budgetquestionnaire, https://bit.ly/OGSGCitizenengagement2026 to submit their inputs.

CITIZENS’ ENGAGEMENT FOR 2026 BUDGET
Governance is about service delivery and the satisfaction of the legitimate needs of as many citizens as possible. This showcases the desire of the State to cultivate a feedback mechanism on the performance and quality of services to the relevant agencies of government and the policy makers. This also invariably enhances public understanding of government’s budget and enable citizen’s participation in the formulation, implementation, and assessment of the budget.

The zeal to transform and develop the State will continue to be vigorously pursued as set out through a number of initiatives encapsulated under the 5 Strategic Pillars of the Administration, coined – I (INFRASTUCTURE); S (SOCIAL WELFARE AND WELL BEING); E (EDUCATION); Y (YOUTH EMPOWEMENT, CULTURE AND RELIGION); A (AGRICULTURE).

The State Government is therefore conscious of the fact that engagement with the citizenry is a core part of good governance. We will appreciate if you please take time out to kindly fill this form so we can have your input as we begin the process of planning for 2026.
