In its bid to foster better service delivery and enhance operational efficiency, the Ogun State Commissioner for Transportation, Olugbenga Dairo, has called on workers to demonstrate greater dedication and commitment to their duties in the New Year.

Dairo, in his New Year message to staffers of the ministry, through the Permanent Secretary, AdesojiAdewuyi, emphasised the importance of teamwork, professionalism, and accountability in achieving the ministry’s objectives.

He noted that the transportation sector plays a critical role in the socio-economic development of the state, urging workers to uphold excellence in their services.

“As we begin this New Year, I want to encourage every member of staff to bring renewed vigour and dedication to their responsibilities. The transportation sector is the backbone of economic activities, and we must ensure seamless service delivery to meet the needs of our people,” he stated.

Dairo reassured the workers of the ministry’s commitment to fostering better collaboration with allied agencies and stakeholders in the transportation ecosystem. He revealed that plans are underway to strengthen synergy with agencies such as the Traffic Management Authority, Vehicle Inspection Service, and other relevant bodies to ensure efficient transportation management across the state.

“In this New Year, we will intensify efforts to collaborate with all allied agencies. This synergy is essential for improving traffic flow, ensuring safety and implementing sustainable transport initiatives that will positively impact the lives of our citizens,” he added.

Dairo commended the staff for their contributions towards achieving the agency’s set target in the previous year, encouraging them to embrace innovation and adaptability in tackling emerging challenges in the sector.

He called for a renewed sense of purpose among workers, as the ministry reiterated its commitment to prioritising their welfare and capacity building.
