Ondo acting Gov, APC, Adefarati, others hail Akeredolu at 67

The Acting Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, yesterday described his boss, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, as a visionary leader whose footsteps in service and leadership have continued to guide his followers right.
Aiyedatiwa, in a congratulatory message to celebrate the 67th year milestone attained by the governor, stated that even in the face of daunting challenges, Akeredolu has remained steadfast in his commitment to good governance and the well-being of the people.
In the message personally signed by him, the acting governor said: “You are a strong, confident leader and politician who is so devoted, dedicated, and puts in so much selfless effort that you deserve at least one day to sit back and revel in all of your accomplishments and imprints on our dear State and country, and your birthday is the perfect day for doing just that.
“Your headstrong approach and passion to achieve what you set out to do are so remarkable and truly inspirational. You have continued to guide us all in the right direction, and we must thank you for being such a wonderful and exemplary leader and for everything you have done for our land.I am so proud and lucky to have you as my leader! We pray God continues to grant you good health with greater honour and peace.”
Also, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, in its birthday greetings, said the news of the governor’s recuperation gladdens the hearts of everyone within and outside the state.
The statement, signed by party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Steve Otaloro, read, “The people of Ondo State, who have greatly benefitted from Governor Akeredolu’s visionary leadership, are united in prayer for his quick recovery. We stand together as one, wishing our beloved Governor a swift return to good health so that he may continue the tremendous work he has been doing for our state.
“On this joyous occasion of his 67th birthday, we celebrate Governor Akeredolu’s life, his accomplishments, and his unwavering commitment to the development of Ondo State. His dedication to improving the lives of our people is truly commendable, and we are grateful for his selfless service.”
On his part, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Richard Olatunde, said, “In times of crisis, Governor Akeredolu’s faith and courage have shone even brighter. Whether facing economic challenges, the COVID-19 pandemic, or other emergencies, his leadership has been marked by compassion, resilience, and determination.
“As Governor Akeredolu continues to lead with grace and courage, his life becomes a living testimony to the transformative power of divine favour and unyielding bravery. His legacy extends far beyond political accomplishments, as he has become a symbol of hope for those who dare to dream and aspire to serve the people.”
Similarly, the member representing Akoko South-West Federal Constituency, Adegboyega Adefarati, stated that, “For his uncommon sagacity and remarkable achievements these past years, he deserves our prayers, support, and cooperation always, even as we look towards the future with justified optimism and assurance.
“On this auspicious occasion of his birthday, we are united in supplication to God for Him to grant our dearest Arakunrin robust health, perfect healing, and longevity of life.”
For the Commissioner who represents Ondo State on the governing board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Gbenga Edoema, he urged the people not to relent in praying for the governor’s swift recovery, emphasizing the importance of the governor’s well-being for the continued progress and prosperity of the state.
“During this significant milestone in Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu’s life, let us not only celebrate his accomplishments but also remember him in our prayers. We wish him good health and a speedy recovery so that he will continue to lead us towards a brighter future.”
