Ondo Amotekun dismisses three operatives
Deploys 700 personnel for Easter, Eid-el-Fitri celebrations
There operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, otherwise known as Amotekun Corps, have been dismissed from the security formation for involvement in unprofessional conduct while on duty.
The Commander of the Corps in the state, Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this, yesterday, while parading some suspects at the headquarters of the Corps at Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital, over alleged theft and burglary.
Adeleye, who also disclosed that seven suspects were nabbed across the state for various crimes, said that no fewer than 700 operatives had been deployed for the Easter and Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.
“Our parade today is more of sensitisation as we have seven suspected criminals and we want the public to assist us so that we can assist them,” he said.
