Ondo govt approves new Obas for Uso, Igbindo

ONDOTHE Ondo State’s Executive Council has approved the appointment of Prince Ademola Adebiyi Oyinbade as the new Oloba of Uso in Owo Local Council of the state.

A statement by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade said the approval came after Oyinbade emerged the new Oloba among three other candidates through casting of vote on July 2, by four who are still alive among six kingmakers .

Other contestants are Prince Adeniyi Akinola, Prince Dada Folayan and Prince Emiowa Adebiyi Albert.

The Oloba stool became vacant in September 2011 at the demise of Oba Albert Adebayo O. Olanipekun 11.

The process of selecting a new Oloba of Uso commenced in 2014.

In the same vein, the state Executive Council has also approved the appointment of Prince Ogundoju John Olaniji as the new Akinuwa elect of Igbindo in Ondo West Local Council.

He emerged Oba-elect ahead of the other contestant, Prince Fashola Adetutu, also presented for the title from the Ogbowookun Lobinrin Ruling House

The Igbindo stool became vacant in October 2011 at the demise of Oba Aderinlowo Pius Bosede of the Otutubiosun Ruling House.
