Ooni visits Silicon Valley, speaks at Hollywood, to host Eddie Murphy

The Arole Oodua and Ooni of Ife, Iba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, will on Saturday embark on another historic trip to the State of California in the United States of America (USA) to get involved in series of activities facilitated by organizers of Hollywood African Prestigious Awards (HAPA) and Silicon Valley-NED in conjunction with the African Technology Foundation.

The Ooni is scheduled to begin his activities on Monday, November 13, with a courtesy visit to the Legislative Team at State Senate Office. He, thereafter, moves to Stanford University, Pablo Alto for Oil & Gas initiatives to meet key representatives of Ivy League institution to discuss opportunities for international exchange programs.

He will proceed to the eight technology wonder of the world, to be hosted by Silicon Valley-Nigerian Economic Development (SV-NED) to promote the bridge between Nigeria and the technology capital of the world. He is also scheduled to make a visit to Cisco, IBM, Intel and Tesla Motors for business discussions.


The climax of the first day is a dinner party at San Jose CA where he will be hosted by Silicon Valley Capital Club while the second day will witness Ooni’s meetings with management of Google and YouTube at Mountain View CA.

The monarch will on November 18 be honoured with the Hollywood and African Prestigious Leadership Award alongside King Mswati III of Swaziland and King Noble Odaifio Welentsi III from Ghana during the Hollywood African Awards Show, where he will be the guest speaker on the topic: Eradication of negative images associated with Africa and forgotten history.

Ooni, who is the co-chairman of the Traditional Rulers Council of Nigeria, will play host to the crew of Coming to America film, to be led by the famous actor, Eddie Murphy.
