Orphans in Argungu celebrate NNPP chieftain’s birthday with supporters

Children at the Argungu Orphanage in Kebbi State were treated to food and goodwill gestures on Sunday, as the Ajadi Rescue Movement marked the 45th birthday of its national leader, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, with a humanitarian visit.

The delegation, led by the Kebbi State Coordinator of the movement, Musa Abubakar, included both state and local government officials who gathered at the orphanage to distribute food items and engage with the children in a communal celebration.

Addressing the children and caregivers, Abubakar said the decision to mark Ambassador Ajadi’s birthday at the orphanage reflected his long-standing commitment to humanitarian causes. “Rather than celebrate privately, we have chosen to identify with the orphans here in Argungu as a way of showing compassion and continuing the charitable example set by Ambassador Ajadi,” he said.

The visit featured a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony, communal prayers for the celebrant, and shared meals, drawing smiles from children and staff alike. According to Abubakar, the gesture was aimed at reminding the children that they were not forgotten.

“We are grateful for the prayers the children offered for Ambassador Ajadi’s continued good health and success. This shows that even the most vulnerable in society can contribute to acts of goodwill in their own way,” Abubakar noted.

He added that the movement hoped to host its national leader in Kebbi State soon. “We look forward to welcoming him here in person, so he can witness firsthand the warmth and support his movement enjoys in Kebbi State,” he said.

The Ajadi Rescue Movement, founded by Ambassador Ajadi, has become known for its focus on community outreach, particularly in supporting orphans and vulnerable children through small-scale but meaningful interventions.

The visit to Argungu formed part of a coordinated series of charitable activities taking place nationwide, as state chapters of the movement marked the leader’s birthday through donations and community engagement, rather than celebratory gatherings.

For the children at Argungu Orphanage, the visit offered a moment of respite and communal joy, underscoring the potential impact of grassroots social responsibility efforts across Nigeria.
