Osun state government has issued a stern warning to pupils in public schools in the state to stare clear of cultism or get expelled, arrested and be prosecuted.

The State Deputy Governor, Titi  Laoye-Tomiri handed down the warning in her speech at a function organised by school principals in the state.

The Deputy Governor, who represented Governor Rauf Aregbesola at the occasion, expressed surprise at the level of indiscipline by some pupils who reportedly were involved in cultism.

Last week some people suspected to be members of a cult attacked the Anglican Grammar School and Adenle Middle School in Osogbo on a revenge mission. They were in for some pupils said to be members of their group who were punished or misconduct by their teachers.

Laoye-Tomori, who also doubles as Commissioner for Education said there was no room for indiscipline and unruly conduct in any of the state’s public schools.
