The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday, inaugurated the 35-member state executive and 32 local council chairmen with the exception of Egbeda Local Council.
The event took place at the party’s secretariat in Oke-Ado.
In his address, the State Chairman, Mr. Isaac Omodewu, said the new local and ward executives were products of the ongoing harmonisation and reconciliation process within the Oyo chapter.
He emphasised that all the tendencies within state chapter had stakes in the party’s structure from the ward to state level.
The state chairman, however, said that the inauguration of party chairman of Egbeda Local Council was stepped down owing to pending issues.
He said with the ongoing harmonisation and reconciliation process, APC would be appropriately repositioned.
He also promised to unite every members of the party and lead APC to victories in 2023 general elections.
Omodewu, therefore, directed local chairmen to inaugurate other local and ward executives immediately with the exception of Ibadan South-West, Ibadan Northeast, Ibadan Northwest, Oyo West and Iseyin local councils.
According to him, harmonisation and reconciliation process is in progress in the aforementioned council areas.
